I’ve been tagged by the lovely Miss Victoria (who’s an awesome friend and adoptee with a great perspective and story to tell in adoption) for more random facts! Let’s see what else I can expose…
1. My toes are always painted pink. Well, some times red at Christmas to be festive. But other than that, they are always a shade of pink. It’s the only color I like for them!
2. I hate cheese and milk. I can tolerate a little bit of white cheese like mozzarella on pizza or in pasta melted, but yellow cheeses? Gag me. It runs in my family, me and my Dad are weird. But so is Mark, so it’s ok. Mark and I both hate milk, too. We are just meant to be!
3. I have a big scar on my right cheek that I got at birth due to forceps scratching me. I often forget it’s there, I don’t see it when I look in the mirror and it doesn’t seem to show up in pictures (I tried to find one). I forget until people ask, “Where did you get the scar?!” The answer isn’t anything exciting. It’s funny that people also ask if it hurt. I was an infant! Do you think I remember? I’m sure it did though, probably not the greatest way to enter this new world.
4. It urks me when things don’t match. I distinctly remember my Stepmom laying out an outfit for me about the age of 9 or 10 and teaching me about coordinating colors. And it’s stuck. Savannah’s socks always have to coordinate with her outfit. I will not wear black and blue together or brown and black. When Savannah was younger Mark’s parents would dress her in pants from one PJ set with the shirt to another PJ set, even though I clearly had placed the pairs together. It bothered me. I like things to match.
5. I’ve always changed schools. I went to 3 different elementry schools. Middle school I managed to stay in one place. 2 different high schools. And now 2 colleges. Therefore, I always gained new friends and lost touch with old ones. It sucked.
6. Speaking of friends, I hardly have any now. Most exist through this computer screen in other states. It’s hard to make close new friends when 1] My life is so different than other 20 year old college students. The fact that I’m married and a Mom not only makes me ‘feel’ different but I do not live the same life style. Therefore, I don’t even have the time to make friends! 2] I have higher/better values than most college students my age (i.e. I don’t like to party, drink, or care about who’s boyfriend cheated on who) 3] I’m shy. I could make older Mom friends with people around the neighborhood, but that’s hard to do for me.

Mixing pajama pieces would literally make me twitch. You buy them in sets, you should wear them in sets. Thankfully none of my family would even think to try it.
Thanks for the tag! I’m the world’s slowest at that sort of thing, but I’ll get there eventually.
