I was looking through websites at various baby carriers and found this picture and had to laugh to myself (It won’t let me post the picture, other wise I’d put in on for you to laugh with me).
Now, if I had a newborn, would I be wearing a strapless shirt and sporting a huge glittery purse? No. Even at my young age of 20, I wouldn’t wear this. Maybe this is the party-mommy style, I certainly know a few of those. Me? I’d still be in pregnancy clothes (yoga pants, any one?) trying to hid my flab and carrying a diaper bag. Unless the glittery purse is her diaper bag? And wouldn’t the sleeveless shirt thing not be the best choice for baby wearing? In my experience, baby wearing does a lot of pulling on shirts, people might be getting a free show!
I do have admit, it is a cute outfit, but not realistic to having a new born child. Not at all. Silly advertising, don’t they know people want realistic? Woman already have enough going on in their life to be worrying about the fact that they don’t look like this weeks after delivering.

I once wrote about the models they use on their website and got flamed by the company owner.
Just a heads up.

You mean you didnt look like that days after giving birth! (I’m sure my sarcasm is lost in typing!) Im very much with you on the nonsense of wearing a sleeveless shirt even iwthin arm reach of little ones. I made the mistake of wearing a v neck shirt once to the doctors only to find out the entire time my little one had been pulling down my shirt. sigh. maybe if i had more sleep I would have more shame too!
I just found your site and really enjoyed reading about you all as individuals and as a family. For all you’ve been thru you have not only found the sunny spot but have conducted yourselves with such dignity and grace.
